where i've been

Oh my goodness.

In a little over a week, I am leaving the place I grew up, bound almost 1100 miles east. I'm not worried, or nervous, or scared.

I'm just hugely busy trying to weed through my possessions à la 'Clean Sweep'; deciding which items I have emotional attachment to, the ones I have need-based attachment to, and being amazed at the percentage of clothing I donated without a second glance - nearly 60%. The limit of things I can take with me is alarmingly small - the things that will fit either into my car, or into mail-able boxes.

My furniture is being given to my cousin whose large family definitely needs, but is unable to obtain. I'm giving away almost all of my yarn, I've sold boxes of movies and books. Yet, my room still looks like I've done none of these things.

Hopefully I'll get this under control very, very soon.
